Do I have to be involved with a sport to YouVolunteer?

No! YouVolunteer is all about introducing you to the sports sector as a volunteer, and identifying opportunities that are best for you and the sport.

Do I need to be sporty to YouVolunteer?

No! Volunteer roles come in a lot of different forms. Examples include: photography, assisting in the club canteen, or supporting as a Team Manager.

Does it cost to get involved in YouVolunteer?

Not under YouVolunteer.

Why YouVolunteer?

Gain new experiences, build skills, make friends and connect with and give back to your community.  It also looks great on your resume.

How do I find out more information about YouVolunteer roles?

How do I know the YouVolunteer role is suitable for young people?

All YouVolunteer roles are designed for young people to be appropriate, accessible and safe and have been informed by the:

  • Sport Volunteering National Plan
  • Sport Volunteer Coalition Action Plan
  • National Strategy for Volunteering
  • SportWest True Sport Initiative
