The Bibbulmun Track: The Bibbulmun Track is one of the world’s great long distance walk trails, stretching 1000km from Kalamunda in the Perth Hills, to Albany on the south coast, winding through the heart of the scenic South West of Western Australia.
The trek occurred on Sunday 26 May 2019 commencing at 2pm with 60 people joining with us to celebrate the 60th Anniversary! Starting at South Ledge, the intrepid walkers enjoyed the spectacular scenery from Golden View and over the Mundaring Weir before winding their way along the 6.2km section of the Bibbulmun Track finally finishing at the Perth Hills Discovery Centre. Chair, Joe Francis then unveiled the plaque with the help from the Board and Alyssa Hayden MLA, Shadow Minister for Community Services; Youth; Seniors and Ageing; Volunteering.
With expert guidance from our Bibbulmun Track Volunteer Guides, everyone had a fantastic time learning about the Trail and the Award. The feedback has been nothing but positive and already talk of doing it again next year!
The plaque is located on the Bibbulmun Track at the Perth Hills Discovery Centre, Mundaring, 40km from Perth CBD.
